The U.S. Navy announced Feb. 9 that it awarded San Diego-based Pacific Ship Repair and Fabrication Inc. a $17.5 million contract modification, exercising an option to repair and alter the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Momsen.
Work will be performed in the Momsen’s home port of Everett, Wash. The company has two facilities on Washington’s Puget Sound as well as near Naval Base San Diego on 32nd Street. Work is expected to last through September
