In addition, as the clamping cycle initiates, the System SG applies slight axial movement of the work- piece. The movement adds rigidity to the system by pressing the workpiece against an end stop. If the workpiece stop surface is inaccurate, a floating end stop design can be used to remove the uneven surface variable while maintaining the required rigidity.
