The new SL-II Series are available in three models, the SL6-II, the SL8-II and the SL10-II. And they feature Milltronic’s latest Series 9000 CNC control. The Series 9000 control can be programmed either conversa- tionally or with industry standard G & M codes. These turning centers from Mill- tronics are true slant bed machines with robust roller guideways. They also feature Yaskawa Sigma V servo mo- tors and drives, plus the ballscrews are doublenut pre-loaded, pre-tensioned and anchored on both ends. New Products and HSK-T. The system also features compact boring heads with the GL connection and both the bars and the heads feature coolant supply channels. SL-II Series spindles are manufac- tured by Royal and feature six rows of bearings. They are permanently grease packed, maintenance free with two rows of roller bearings up front, two rows of ABEC Class 7 P4 preloaded angular contact bearings mounted right behind and in back, two additional rows of roller bearings. The SL6-II is a fast, compact ma- chine with 6,000 rpm and 1,181 ipm rapids. It has a 6” 3-jaw hydraulic chuck standard with a 2.2” spindle bore. The AC spindle motor is 17.5 hp and has a Yaskawa drive.
